How do I set a default investment income category for each account?

Posted on October 1, 2024 by Kristen Barth

In version 9.5 or later, you can now set a default investment income category for each investment account. Here’s how to do that:

In Banktivity for Mac:

– Double-click on the investment account in the sidebar (the left side of your document)
– In the popup window that appears, you’ll see ‘Investment Income Category’ and a dropdown menu to click on where you can set the default category.
– Click Save at the bottom of the popup window to save the changes.

In Banktivity for iPhone/iPad:

– Tap on the investment account so you are viewing the register with transactions
– Tap on the icon that looks like a pencil inside a square at the top.
– In the screen that appears under Bank Info, tap on Investment Income Category.
– On the next screen, select the category of your choice by tapping on it.
– Then, tap Done in the top right corner to save the changes.
