American Express no longer supports Direct Connect/OFX

American Express has pulled support for Direct Connect/OFX. Users will need to disable online access using Direct Connect/OFX and re-enable online access using Direct Access (Yodlee). When taking the OFX connection offline, you will need to disconnect your device from WiFi or a wired internet connection. Once disabled, be sure to reconnect to the internet. Now you can enable Direct Access using the steps below.

How to enable Direct Access for American Express Cards

  1. Double-click on the account name for the account
  2. Choose “Configure Connection”
  3. Choose “American Express Cards” from the list
  4. Follow the onscreen prompts as necessary. (You will be prompted to enter your credentials, but it will be when the app is sending those credentials directly to your bank.)
