How do I use the toolbar?

The toolbar is located across the top of the main Banktivity window. It contains four buttons and a box showing the status of your ledger.
Use the toolbar
- The name of the current ledger appears at the top and center of the toolbar.
- Four buttons appear on the toolbar:
Add: Click this button to add a new account, budget, or report to the ledger.
Update Everything: Click this button to update all accounts configured to use Direct Access or direct download, fetch security quotes, download currency exchange rates, update bill pay payments, and sync with mobile devices. This is equivalent to choosing Ledger > Bring Ledger Up to Date.
Send Payment: Click this button to send payments using an account that has online bill pay enabled. 
Post Scheduled Transactions: Click this button to review upcoming scheduled transactions. This is equivalent to choosing Ledger > Post Scheduled Transaction. A number appearing on this button indicates how many scheduled transactions are within their reminder period or overdue.
- The status display in the center of the toolbar shows helpful information about your Banktivity ledger. It can show the date and time of your last update, or notify you that your ledger needs to be updated. During downloads and sync operations, it displays a progress bar. If you are not connected to the internet or encounter a problem during an update, the status display will show an error message and a button you can click to troubleshoot the issue.
Hide and show the toolbar
Although the buttons on the toolbar are fixed in place, you can show or hide the entire toolbar at any time by choosing View > Hide/Show Toolbar (this is standard for most macOS applications).

The file cabinet icon which allows you to return to the Organizer.
Add: Click this button to add a new account or report to the ledger.
Settings: Click this button to access the settings in the Banktivity application.
This is the search option that will search for transactions across all of your accounts in the Banktivity ledger.
Toolbar on iPhone
On iPhone, the toolbar is nearly identical to the iPad but the search is hidden by default to save space, simply press your finger down onto the summary and swipe slowly toward to bottom until you reveal the search bar:
